So when we first came up with the name Brown Bag Hunger Brigade, Hobz did some research to find out if there were any other clubs, organizations, etc. with the same name.  The only one he found was http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brown-Bag-Brigade/202228206463406….

Brown Bag Brigade
New York
The Brown Bag Brigade is a movement that aims to convince an on-the-go population to pack lunch instead of going out to eat. Brown Bag It Instead!

We thought we were safe with keeping our name, mainly because of the difference in missions.  Then it happened.  Right before we went out on our first giving project, I googled the name again…yet another Brown Bag Brigade!  This time the group was based out of Monroe Washington and helped the homeless and hungry  http://morningstarlc.org/content/four-churches-one-god

Faith Choices Ministry: Brown Bag Brigade

  • Brown Bag Brigade delivers lunches to 5 locations in Monroe and Sultan.
  • Brown Bag Brigade, by its Third Anniversary on March 1, 2010, had served 40,000 homeless and hungry Sky Valley neighbors.
  • Brown Bag Brigade is made up of 12 core volunteers and about 18 total volunteers from the four partner churches.
  • The volunteers gather at 10 am every Wednesday morning at the UCC to make, pack and send out lunches.

So, now we have to decide…do we stay the same or change our name?  Since we are just starting out, it would be easy enough  –  rename our blog, facebook page and edit our labels.  Not too bad.  What would we rename ourselves?  What about Bearded Bakers Hunger Brigade?

Any suggestions?
